The San Marcos High School Striking Rattler Varsity and Junior Varsity cheerleaders cheered for change on Oct. 4 at the San Marcos Wal-Mart.
Many shoppers were convinced to donate after hearing Steve Nolan cheering into his small white megaphone, “A quarter, a dime, a nickel!” The “Cheer for Change” campaign was successful , with more than $700 garnered in spare change donated by shoppers.
