Hays CISD has remaining dates for flu vaccine

The seasonal flu vaccine is now available for uninsured or under-insured students and their siblings in Hays CISD. Last week, the vaccine was given to Science Hall Elementary School, Chapa Middle School, Lehman High School, Buda Elementary School, Barton Middle School, and Academy High School. The following flu clinics are still scheduled to take place.
Tuesday, Oct. 27, at Blanco Vista Elementary School and Wallace Middle School.
Wednesday, Oct. 28, at Kyle Elementary School and Negley Elementary School.
Thursday, Oct. 29, at Hemphill Elementary School and Simon Middle School.
Eligibility and permission forms, as well as clinic times, are available in each campus nurse clinic. The cost is $10.
Currently, the vaccines are administered through FluMist, which is sprayed directly into the nostril.
