Rattlers fall in fourth at Seguin

However the San Marcos High School boys basketball team handled the first three quarters Monday night in Seguin, they lost that handle in the fourth quarter.

After maintaining a tight game, trailing only 33-32 through three quarters, the Rattlers suddenly found themselves in a track meet that they couldn’t win once the fourth quarter arrived. Seguin exploded for 22 points in the final period for a 55-47 win.

The Rattlers balanced out their scoring, with Colin Hart scoring 13 points, Chris Threadgill scoring 11 and D.J. Gardner and Alex Austin each scoring ten points. Jason Evan led all scorers with 17 points for Seguin.

San Marcos fell to 7-8 overall and plays again next Monday in the Boerne ISD Tournament. Seguin improved to 8-9.
