CTMC adds rheumatologist to specialty staff

Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC) has added another specialty physician to the San Marcos area, Dr. Hassan Alissa, who specializes in rheumatology.



CTMC opens wound healing center

Earlier this month, Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC) began seeing patients in its new Institute for Advanced Wound Healing. The Institute specializes in advanced wound therapies, including hyperbaric oxygen therapy. It is located on the first floor of the Professional Office Building at 1301 Wonder World Drive.



CTMC schedules blood drive

Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC), 1301 Wonder World Drive, will host a blood drive from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Feb. 4 on the first floor in the main classroom.



CTMC LoneStart challenge begins

Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC) invites the public to join its free LoneStart Wellness Challenge, which will start at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday in the Community Classroom, 1301 Wonder World Drive.

SANE nurses get forensic equipment

Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC) recently received forensic camera equipment, presented to CTMC’s Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE) on Dec. 17 at the Hays Caldwell Women’s Center.



‘Dig pink’ proceeds to CTMC

After raising more than $1,450 in its “Dig Pink” match against Taxas-Arlington on Oct. 9, the Texas State volleyball team is working with Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC) to keep the money in San Marcos.

CTMC cuts ribbon at grand opening

Last Sunday, Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC) cut the ribbon officially opening its new $35 million Women’s Center. Included in the festivities were San Marcos Mayor Susan Narvaiz and State Representative Patrick Rose.
