Bashing out 41 hits in three games, the Texas State baseball team swept its series against Penn State at Bobcat Field during the weekend, improving to 8-6 for the season. The Bobcats have raised their team batting average 60 points to .281 in the last ten days.
The Texas State softball team scored a run in the ninth for a 5-4 win Sunday at McNeese State, giving the Bobcats two wins in the three-game series. The Bobcats are tied with Stephen F. Austin in first place in the Southland Conference.
