After losing all three matches during the weekend at the Southern Methodist University/Doubletree Invitational in Dallas, the Texas State volleyball team will take a 2-4 record to its home opener Tuesday night against Prairie View A&M at Strahan Coliseum.

Former Bobcat White stars in Arena Bowl

Markee White, who starred on Texas State’s national semifinalist football team in 2005, caught nine passes for 99 yards and four touchdowns Saturday, leading the Spokane Shock to victory in the Arena Bowl.



Bobcats knock out second scrimmage

The Texas State football team continued tuning up for the coming season with a 90-play scripted scrimmage Saturday morning at Bobcat Stadium. Head coach Brad Wright said he was pleased with the consistency developing in the defense.
