Cranberries, probably a part of your Thanksgiving dinner, are one of the few fruits native to North America. They are as indigenous to the northeast as music is here in San Marcos. There’s plenty of music here this weekend, too, and lots more. Herewith, a few suggestions.
The weekend has a country music marathon, a strange and wonderful musical, an art reception, reading, an alternative Christmas market and more.
The Center for Texas Music History at Texas State sponsored two programs that recently won prestigious national awards.
It’s still going to be hot this weekend, and there’s still plenty to see around San Marcos, including Whiskey Myers (above), which is playing at the Cheatham Street Warehouse Saturday night.
BIGFest and the Luling Watermelon Thump are among the treats on tap this weekend in and around San Marcos. Big John Mills (above) is one of the musicians performing at BIGFest.
