Increasing its unbeaten streak to ten games, the Texas State soccer team clinched at least a tie for the Southland Conference championship with a 4-0 win against Sam Houston State Sunday at the Bobcat Soccer Complex.
Texas State and Southeastern Louisiana remained the only two unbeaten teams in the Southland Conference soccer standings Sunday, and they did it the hard way. The two teams fought to a 0-0 tie at the Bobcat Soccer Complex.
With two shutout wins to start the Southland Conference soccer season, Texas State goalie Mandi Mawyer was named Southland Conference Goaltender of the Week.
The Southland Conference has named Texas State soccer player Britney Curry the co-offensive Player of the Week after matching the school’s career record in goals.
Carnivals, music, bingo, plays, music, football, soccer, volleyball, a fried chicken dinner, and more music await the happy weekend warrior.
Music, art, the river, the soccer team and pirates all be wantin’ yer attention this weekend mateys! Bruce Robison and Kelly Willis (above) will play the opening ceremony for the Seton Hospital in Kyle on Sunday.
