Police investigate Sunday morning death

San Marcos police are investigating the circumstances of an early Saturday morning altercation that claimed the life of a 19-year-old Wimberley man. Police responded at 2:56 a.m. on Jan. 9 to Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC), where two friends had taken 19-year-old Christopher Blab, who suffered from a head injury. Blab was transported by helicopter to Brackenridge Hospital in Austin. Blab died around 6 p.m. Sunday.



Two hospitalized after shots in Kyle

The Kyle Police Department (KPD) is working on criminal charges in the case of a man who is said to have shot a woman in the leg, then shot himself in the head last Saturday morning.



Luling teen faces three murder charges

The Luling teenager who left the scene of a botched marijuana heist and returned after all the shots had been fired now faces three counts of murder. A Hays County District grand jury has indicted Frank Castro, 18, for one count of capital murder, two counts of felony murder and one count of aggravated robbery.



Intruder shot in home invasion

An intruder broke into a home on Oscar Smith Drive in San Marcos Wednesday night and came out of the adventure with several gunshot wounds from a resident of the home. San Marcos police are investigating.



Two arrested after home invasion

San Marcos police arrested two San Antonio men after an overnight home invasion in which one person was shot and wounded.



Police still investigating Chestnut homicides

The Hays County District Attorney’s office said this week that it will not comment as it decides whether to press charges in a botched burglary that ended in the shooting deaths of two people earlier this month.
