Hays CISD Superintendent Jeremy Lyon presented a draft of the district’s strategic plan to Hays CISD Trustees last week as the school district transitions from its rural history to a more suburban future.
Parents, teachers, business owners, students and senior citizens were among the 200 participants in the recent Hays CISD Idea Summits at the Performing Arts Center last week. Attendees could go to one of the day’s two summits to share their thoughts as the district launches a comprehensive, long term strategic planning process.
The Hays CISD Performing Arts Center, 979 Kohlers Crossing in Kyle, is the setting for two “Ideas Summits” planned for Sept 17. The summits are opportunities for members of the Hays CISD community to share ideas and aspirations for the school district as it begins an intensive five-year planning process.
