City outbids private buyer for low-income home

The San Marcos City Council agreed last week to use a federal program to buy two homes for availability to low-income buyers. In one case, the city paid $4,200 more than the asking price, outbidding a private buyer.



City presents awards, recognition

Lewis joins city development team

Matthew B. Lewis, a graduate of Texas State and San Marcos High School, has joined the city’s development staff as assistant director of development services.



Carma project on hold at P&Z

A number of rezoning requests before the San Marcos Planning and Zoning Commission concerning a 3,400-home development are on hold while Carma Texas negotiates issues related to a development agreement with the city council.
