The Division of NCLB (No Child Left Behind) Program Coordination at the Texas Education Agency (TEA) recently selected three San Marcos CISD elementary campuses for distinguished academic performance. Bowie, Crockett and De Zavala Elementary Schools each received the honor.

San Marcos CISD (SMCISD) was given a total of fifteen Gold Performance Acknowledgements (GPAs) in the updated state accountablility reports, released on Nov. 4 by the Texas Education Agency (TEA.) The district received 12 GPAs in 2008 and six in 2007.

Crockett Elementary School was recently awarded a $750 grant from the Exxon Mobile Educational Alliance Program to buy materials for the school’s science lab.
