Texas State’s muscular 27-24 win at Central Arkansas Saturday sets up a huge weekend coming up in the Southland Conference football race, where the Bobcats, McNeese State, Stephen F. Austin and Southeastern Louisiana are tied for first place at 4-1.


Bobcats collapse in 51-50 loss to start SLC

Texas State blew a 24-point lead in the fourth quarter on its home field Saturday, losing to Southeastern Louisiana, 51-50, in overtime in the Southland Conference opener for both teams. The Bobcats fall to 2-3 overall with their second straight loss.


Bobcats start strong, cruise to win opener

The Texas State football team turned in a solid opener for a 48-28 win against Angelo State Saturday night, but it wasn’t without its flaws. Bobcats head coach Brad Wright (above), said the problems will be fixed.
