The owners of Windemere Ranch property say they’re going ahead with their plans for development, but Hays County could have designs on the land for its regional habitat conservation plan to protect the golden-cheeked warbler and the black-capped vireo.

San Marcos council again approves more density

San Marcos City Councilmembers approved another zoning change to accommodate increased density last month, granting preliminary approval to a zoning change and a land use plan for the Retreat on Willow Creek, a proposed 101.40-acre mixed-use development just west of Hunter Road and south of Stagecoach Trail.



Residents push TxDOT for action on FM 1626

About 300 Buda-area residents, upset with crawling progress on improvements to FM 1626, attended a public hearing conducted by the Texas Department of Public Transportation (TxDOT) Tuesday night at Elm Grove Elementary School and asked for the project to move faster.
