Coming off a tough week in District 17-4A, the San Marcos High School softball team played league favorite Lockhart tough Friday night before losing, 6-5, at home.
The Hays High School boys basketball team fell short in its attempt to make the playoffs for the first time in ten years, losing at arch rival Lehman, 51-45, Tuesday night.
The District 17-4A boys high school basketball season will end Tuesday night with three key games. At stake is the first playoff berth for Hays since 2000, along with bid for second place by San Marcos, which travels to powerful Dell Valle.
