Annual Trade Up event benefits community and students

In the Texas State Quad Wednesday, the Student Chapter of the Alumni Association will hold its annual Trade Up event with a charitable twist as it combines the day with the Bobcats Back the Youth program.



City invites bids for funding human services funds

The City of San Marcos is now accepting human service agency applications for funding from the city. The applications are available from the Finance Department in the Municipal Building, 630 East Hopkins Street. Applications must be received no later than 5 p.m. on Feb. 5 at the finance department.



Conley GSMYC benefit to repeat on Dec. 19

The seventh annual Greater San Marcos Youth Council (GSMYC) Children’s Shelter and Conley Car Wash & Express Lube Shelter Benefit that took place on Dec. 12 has been extended due to inclement weather.



Youth Council seeks school supplies

The Greater San Marcos Youth Council is seeking donations of school supplies for needy families. The deadline for donations is Aug. 14. The supplies can be dropped off 8 a.m.- 5p.m. Monday through Friday at the Texas State Office of Community Relations, River House, 304 CM Allen Parkway.
