Hispanic Heritage Month going strong at LBJ museum

The term “Hispanic Heritage Month” is a bit misleading. It certainly is a month-long celebration, but the event spans the two months of September and October. The LBJ Museum of San Marcos has an exhibit which celebrates the month with fascinating history.



Mayan documentary, workshop to be at Texas State

The award winning documentary “Breaking the Maya Code” will be presented at 7 p.m. Friday in room 157 of Centennial Hall at Texas State. The screening is free and open to the public. The documentary is being shown as the opening salvo for the Texas State Workshop on Mayan Hieroglyphics which is being held Saturday and Sunday.
