Popular demand to see “Captain Jack,” the film documenting the life of Jack C. Hays done by the Hays County Historical Commission, has led to a second screening of the movie at Dripping Springs City Hall.

John O’Quinn, a prominent Houston attorney who owned one of Hays County’s largest ranches, died Thursday morning in an automobile accident in Houston. He was 68.


State gives county 30 days to address jail
