Hays County to give Guadalupe residents free immunizations

Hays County will provide free immunizations to Guadalupe County residents at a health fair next week, saying it’s a public health benefit for Hays County residents. A Guadalupe County commissioner said Guadalupe officials were unaware of the initiative.

Hays CISD Trustee Mark Jones had no trouble dispatching former Kyle Mayor Mike Gonzalez in the Republican primary for Hays County Precinct 2 Commissioner Tuesday. Jones now will prepare to face former Kyle Councilmember Ray Bryant in the general election.



Boling defeats Mendoza in court at law primary

Hays County Court at Law No. 1 Judge Anna Martinez Boling held off a Democratic primary challenge Tuesday from Hays County Assistant District Attorney David Mendoza, taking 63.7 percent of the vote. Boling will face Republican Robert Updegrove in November.



Kyle council could kick city manager off dais

A newly composed Kyle City Council will meet for the first time Wednesday night. One item on the agenda could be resolved with City Manager Tom Mattis being moved from the council dais.
