Rose campaigns against primary challenge

When Patrick Rose first ran for the state legislature in 2002, he was 23, not long out of Princeton and unsure if he would win the office, let alone how long he would keep it. Today, Rose (D-Dripping Springs), 31, is a four-term representative who says that to “get anything done” in the legislature “you need seniority, and I would like to stay in this office for the next six, eight, 10, 12 years.”



CASA conference and billboard in San Marcos this week

CASA will have their 20th Annual Conference in San Marcos as well as unveil their new Texas State License plate. Their new billboard seeks volunteers to reach their goals of a “CASA for Every Child.”



Rose retains committee chair

Although the Texas House of Representatives is operating with a new speaker this session, local Rep. Patrick Rose has retained his chairmanship of the House Human Services Committee.
