Chamber to discuss transportation

The San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce (SMACC) is holding its next Eggs and Issues Breakfast next Thursday, Dec. 3. The topic will be the 2035 transportation plan being developed by the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO).



Hays County offers free tire drop-off

Hays County is waiving the $2 per tire recycling fee for residents until further notice. The county is working with the nonprofit Central Texas Resource Conservation and Development Area, Inc., which is supplying grant money from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to make the fee waiver possible.
