The highly acclaimed and diverse author Francine Prose will be speaking at both Texas State and the Katherine Ann Porter House in February.

Noted author ZZ Packer to read at Porter House

The Katherine Anne Porter House at 508 Center Street in Kyle will present a reading by ZZ Packer on Nov. 13 at 7:30 p.m. The event is cosponsored by the Texas State University Department of English. The reading is free and open to the public.



Award-winning poet Hoagland to give readings

Award-winning poet Tony Hoagland will give readings this week at Texas State and the Katherine Anne Porter House. The Texas State reading will take place at the Witliff Collections at the Alkek Library Thursday at 3:30 p.m. His reading at the Katherine Anne Porter House will be Friday at 7:30 p.m.



Jayne Anne Phillips scheduled to read

Author Jayne Anne Phillips will read from her works at the Alkek Library on the campus of Texas State and at the Katherine Anne Porter House in Kyle. The reading at Alkek takes place at 3:30 pm on Sept 10. Her appearance at Katherine Anne Porter House will be at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 11.



Vollman to read at Texas State

Author and thrill seeker William Vollmann, a National Book Award winner, will read at Texas State and the Katherine Anne Porter House in Kyle in early April.
