Lehman loses, but looks playoff worthy

The Hays Rebels clinched a high school football playoff berth Friday night, while Lehman looked just about ready. Meanwhile, Wimberley lost a close game at Liberty Hill, Dripping Springs lost for the seventh straight time and the San Marcos Baptist Academy ended a three-game losing streak.


Hays CISD teams start district from different directons

The two Hays CISD football teams each open their District 17-4A seasons Friday night, each coming from a different direction and each surprisingly situated. Lehman enters the district season 4-1 for the first time ever, while the Rebels are 0-5 for the first time since 1970.


Kyle council hears annexation concerns

An annexation plan that would fill holes in Kyle’s city limits and increase the city’s geographical foot print by about one-third packed the city council chambers last week as interested area residents wondered how the changes would affect them.
