City moves Sessom work up to this week

Saying the spring break is the perfect time to deal with the intersection of Sessom Drive and LBJ Drive, city officials moved drainage and pavement work on the intersection up to this week.



County to open dispute resolution office

The Hays County Dispute Resolution Center (DRC), approved last summer by the Hays County Commissioners Court, will officially open the doors to its offices on Feb. 9.



City announces road closures for next week

San Marcos officials have announced road and street projects affecting traffic in town next week, including several involving Hopkins Street and the downtown square. Wednesday, Feb. 3, will include numerous such projects through the east side of town for repairs on the Union Pacific Rail Road tracks.



City to hold meeting about downtown streets

The San Marcos capital improvements department will hold a public meeting next week to discuss plans for downtown streetscape improvements and improvements to paving and drainage along Hutchison Street and North LBJ Drive. The meeting will take place next Monday, Nov. 30.



Chamber cuts ribbon at Hot Spot

San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce (SMACC) Ambassadors welcomed Hot Spot Salon to the chamber with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Oct. 22.



More city street repairs begin next week

The public services department in San Marcos will begin minor reconstruction of Lindsey Street (from North to Comanche) and asphalt repair of Sessom Drive and North LBJ Drive next week.
