Lehman loses, but looks playoff worthy

The Hays Rebels clinched a high school football playoff berth Friday night, while Lehman looked just about ready. Meanwhile, Wimberley lost a close game at Liberty Hill, Dripping Springs lost for the seventh straight time and the San Marcos Baptist Academy ended a three-game losing streak.


Hays CISD teams start district from different directons

The two Hays CISD football teams each open their District 17-4A seasons Friday night, each coming from a different direction and each surprisingly situated. Lehman enters the district season 4-1 for the first time ever, while the Rebels are 0-5 for the first time since 1970.


Lehman defense takes big step in win

Lehman bottled up an old nemesis Friday night in a 41-6 high school football victory over Austin Reagan. Also, Dripping Springs shut out Wimberley and San Marcos Baptist Academy won easily in San Antonio.
