Construction of a Grifols plasma research and testing facility began last Friday at River Ridge Business Park in San Marcos, with state and local officials presiding.

Grifols, which is locating a much-anticipated biomedical facility in San Marcos, will turn the first shovel Friday on a two-story, 72,000-square-foot plasma research and testing facility at River Ridge Business Park. The facility is expected to be completed in 2010.
