Coming off a loss last week at Southern Utah, the Texas State Bobcats begin their Southland Conference schedule Saturday as the defending champions and, therefore, the team on everyone’s hit list. The Bobcats will kick off against Southeastern Louisiana at Bobcat Stadium (2 p.m.).

Texas State’s football team was unable to avenge last year’s loss to Southern Utah. The Thunderbirds hung up a 38-16 win on their home field in Cedar City, UT.
