Texas State’s dominance of the Southland Conference soccer season is reflected in the haul of postseason honors presented by the league this week. The Bobcats took player of the year, coach of the year and three spots on the postseason first team.

Increasing its unbeaten streak to ten games, the Texas State soccer team clinched at least a tie for the Southland Conference championship with a 4-0 win against Sam Houston State Sunday at the Bobcat Soccer Complex.

Junior Britney Curry became Texas State’s all-time top goal scorer, and then some, as the Bobcats won two Southland Conference soccer games last week, taking their winning streak to six games.

Texas State’s soccer team played a brilliant defensive game Sunday, allowing only one shot on goal in a 3-0 win against Tennessee Tech at the Samford Bulldog Invitational in Birmingham, AL.
