Davis named to preseason SLC team

Texas State senior guard Victoria Davis has been named to the Southland Conference’s preseason second team for women’s basketball. The league’s coaches and sports information directors picked the Bobcats to finish no higher than fourth in the SLC’s West Division.

Texas State took only 12 free throws Saturday, while Texas-Arlington made 26 free throws and – what do you know? – the Bobcats lost their Southland Conference opener by 14 points on the road.
