Smith holds down Sam Houston in first league start

Making his first start in the Southland Conference, Texas State sophomore Carson Smith began with six shutout innings at Sam Houston State Friday night, helping the Bobcats to a 12-5 win.



Bobcats to hold Maroon vs. Gold game Saturday

Bobcats trounce Penn State in baseball

Bashing out 41 hits in three games, the Texas State baseball team swept its series against Penn State at Bobcat Field during the weekend, improving to 8-6 for the season. The Bobcats have raised their team batting average 60 points to .281 in the last ten days.



Bobcats win softball rubber game at McNeese

The Texas State softball team scored a run in the ninth for a 5-4 win Sunday at McNeese State, giving the Bobcats two wins in the three-game series. The Bobcats are tied with Stephen F. Austin in first place in the Southland Conference.



Bobcats hold second place in golf tourney

With a scorching second round Sunday, the Texas State women’s golf team is in second place going to Monday’s final round of the Claud Jacobs Intercollegiate Tournament in Victoria.

Bobcats end hoop season with overtime loss

The Texas State men’s basketball team couldn’t hold onto a 41-24 halftime lead Wednesday night and lost in the first round of the Southland Conference Tournament, 79-78 to Southeastern Louisiana in overtime.
