Texas State and its River System Institute will soon host an historic three-day reunion and celebration for former employees of Aquarena Springs Resort.

Texas State University will present two once-act operas at the Wine Cellar on consecutive Thursday and Friday nights, Oct. 15 -16 and 22-23.



Mee’s ‘Big Love’ deals with big issues

Texas State presents a modern, but none the less harrowing, look at love, marriage and the battle of the sexes in Charles Mee’s play “Big Love” at the Theatre Center on campus this week.

The Center for Texas Music History at Texas State sponsored two programs that recently won prestigious national awards.



EmilyAnn has new play, new operations manager

In October, the EmilyAnn Theatre, 1103 FM 2325 in Wimberley, will present a new play with a new Theater Operations Manager. Although “new” is somewhat of a misnomer since Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar was first produced in 1599 and newly named operations manager, Bridget Farias, first directed for the theater in 2008.



Rodent trouble closes Commons Hall

While there has been no breach of sanitary conditions, Texas State has closed Commons Hall for renovation due to recent problems with rodents in the building. Students regularly take meals at Commons Dining Hall.



Texas State EOF hopes to aid HUBs

Calling all HUBs! In its continuing efforts to reach Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs), Texas State will hold a vendor outreach and economic opportunity on Sept. 23 from 1-5 p.m. at the City of San Marcos Conference Center.
