The weekend in San Marcos is never at a loss for music, particularly at the end of a week when we lost a largely unsung hero of popular music.

The weekend is filled with the sound of music, and the crack of the old bat, and the crunch of the old chip. And pie. Or pie. We’ve seen more loaded weekends around here, and they’ll be coming back in a hurry.

It seems that theater and musical performances are really kicking up lately, and that goes well with baseball season, which means spring is here. It’s a good time to awaken love of life in one’s heart. Smile.

The weekend has so much music to see that you’ll be as confused as a novice Olympic curling observer. But we have suggestions, because there is some extraordinary music going on.
