Earlier this month, Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC) began seeing patients in its new Institute for Advanced Wound Healing. The Institute specializes in advanced wound therapies, including hyperbaric oxygen therapy. It is located on the first floor of the Professional Office Building at 1301 Wonder World Drive.

Central Texas Medical Center (CTMC) will unveil its new $35 million expansion project to the community at a free preview from 2-5 p.m. Sunday. The public is encouraged to attend.

The new Neonatal Intesive Care Unit at Central Texas Medical Center got some much appreciated funding from Walmart. Citizens can get a sneek peek at the facility on Nov. 22.

The 17th Annual Stars of Texas Gala, Central Texas Medical Center’s (CTMC) yearly benefit event, entertained a record 502 attendees on the evening of Oct. 11 at the Embassy Suites Hotel and Convention Center. The event, which raised funds for CTMC’s new Women’s Center, included gourmet dining, a silent auction and music from country music star Lee Ann Womack.

Looking at CTMC’s expanded new $7 million operating rooms, it’s hard to believe that the center started out as the Hays County Soldiers, Sailors and Marines Memorial Hospital. New operating rooms complete yet another improvement in the center’s ongoing effort to stay ahead of the curve.
